A PERSONAL LESSON ABOUT SECURITY IN THE DIGITAL AGE
Hi, my name is Adam Dachis. On May 17th, hackers stole the majority of my money. I don't know exactly how I'll be able to fix that yet, but I believe I'll be okay somehow. There are people hurting more than me in the world, and even if I don't really have any money anymore I have a lot of stuff.
So, in order to remember this moment as a good one I'm donating as many of my belongings as I can to charity.
Please do this with me.
If you give, that's enough, but I would appreciate it if you'd share a photo of you and your donation on social media with #AwkwardHumanGift so me and my coworkers, friends, and family can reach as many people as possible and create a real, significant impact.
If you'd like to keep updated on my efforts, the efforts of those who give, and my path to recovery, I'm documenting everything in hopes we'll have a story to share that can help people protect themselves from malicious hackers in the future.
I will update this page with new information, videos, etc., but you can find other ways to follow our efforts
